FAQs

Is Mobile Charging Safe?

  • We use industry standard equipment with the flexibility to charge from 120v-240v and 8A-50A. We use equipment that delivers clean safe electricity, consistent at 60hz.

Is Using a Generator to Charge Your Electric Vehicle Safe?

  • Yes, by using equipment that produces a safe electric current, and with the use of grounding, you can rest assure we will be able to charge your electric vehicle successfully, without hassle.

Is The Power Delivered To My Vehicle “Clean”?

  • Yes. Our equipment has a 3% THD (total harmonic distortion) rating, well below the upper limits [of 6%], ensuring a “clean” power delivery to your vehicle.

  • 6% THD (total harmonic distortion) rating is considered the upper limit for "clean" electricity. Above 6% THD, the electricity may reduce the life of electrical circuits, cause microprocessors to malfunction and operate incorrectly. Most ‘general’ generators operate at 15% THD.

  • In addition, our equipment adheres to the highest emissions standards and are CARB/EPA/PSE/PGMA compliant.

Will Mobile Charging Void My Battery Warranty?

  • Vehicle manufacturers typically approve Level 1 and Level 2 chargers that meet specific safety and compatibility standards. Level 1 chargers use a standard household electrical outlet (120V) and are usually included with the vehicle. Level 2 chargers require a 240V outlet and provide faster charging. We use Level 2 charging equipment.

  • Our equipment is also equipped with protection devices, such as overload protection, thermal protection, over-voltage protection, under-voltage protection, overcurrent protection, short circuit protection, overspeed protection, etc., which greatly facilitates safety and improves the reliability of mobile charging.

  • We always recommend checking your manufacturer’s manual for information re: the warranty, however we will confirm the specific power needs for your make and model.

Is EVurgency Insured?

  • Yes. EVurgency is fully insured to provide peace of mind to all parties involved should an unfortunate event occur.
